Katana August 2024 EOM
August 31, 2024

The Katana Programme ended August with a performance of -2.37%. Bitcoin closed the month at a price of $58,950 for a loss of 8.6% in August. Our programme is short on two timeframes at $57,735.  Mid-month price depreciation stalled at $56,000 and a subsequent recovery to $65,000 saw our short positions stopped and reversed. Resistance at that $65k level proved too difficult to overcome. Consequent price retracement saw our positions reverse again to short. These frustrating trading conditions with little conviction shown by bulls or bears continue to cost us in terms of performance.
